The characteristic features of the construction of stone
tools in this era cover 95% prehistoric period of human technology. During this
period the first use of stone tools. If we visualize the earliest human, they
were naked, without fire, without house, without equipment and even without weapons
and without language, and without anything, except with hand and brain for
looking food and protect yourself from wild animal. No wild man lived so lowly
as this earliest man. These earliest humans had everything without culture.
Humans’
first tools and weapons were things they had in their hands , a tree branch can
become spear. Eventually humans discovered that tools with shape were better
than tools without shape and then human began to turn flint into stone axes,
knives, spearheads, torches and torches and so on.
Paleolithic
humans certainly depended on natural supplies such as wild berries, nuts,
tubers, leaves, honey, shellfish, and any small animals they could kill. As their
tools developed and their skills increased, they became fisher, trappers and
big game hunters, killing mammoths, hippos, and gazelles and eating them.
Beside that
during the paleolithic period, they were
already familiar with paintings that they made in caves and figures made of
clay. We only can guess from what is known of human species seen today, that in
this very instant period people began to work at hunting and fighting off
animals and other human enemies. Social life was very archaic, as were religion and material culture.
