Fungsi simple present tense

- Habits

- Instruction

- Fixed schedules

A. General habits ( kebenaran umun/ kebenaran mutlak )

Example :

- Water frezees at zero degrees

- Cats are mamals

B. Habits ( kebiasaan )

Example :

- My father goes to works every weekdays

- I study with my friends every Sunday at academy

C. Instruction ( perintah atau intruksi )

Example :

- Do not enter this area

- Cook the noodle for 3 minutes

D. Fixed schedule ( sudah terjadwal/ sudah pasti )

Example :

- The show starts at 7 pm

- The scripts marks ( menandai ) their uncoming concerts ( konser mendatang mereka ) in indonesia on septemper 30^th and october 1^s

Untuk polanya sendiri, terbagi menjadi 2 macam yaitu kalimat nomina dan kalimat verba

Kalimat Nomina

Kalimat yang menyatakan kebendaan, bisa berupa nama orang, profesi, tempat, dan segala hal yang di bendakan. Jadi predikatnya berupa to be ( is, am, are ). Untuk kalimat nomina ada empat macam kalimat, yaitu positive, negative, interrogative, dan interrogative with WH- question.

Kalimat Verba

Kalimat yang menyatakan Tindakan atau perlakuan. Jadi predikatnya berupa Verb1/kata kerja. Sama halnya dengan kalimat nomina, untuk kalimat verba , juga ada empat macam bentuk kalimat yaitu positive, negative, interogetive, dan interogetive with WH-qustion.
